I’ve created this blog after years of thinking about it. Despite wanting to expose some of the frauds who have crawled into the workings of SASS, I have always hesitated to post this stuff because I do not in any way want to have a negative effect on SASS. I care about SASS, as a sport, as a game, and as a family. I care about SASS because it represents those dreams we had as kids pretending to be Tom Mix or Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger or, for me, John Wayne. SASS is supposed to be about the integrity of these things, not about looking for the loopholes and advantages! We’re supposed to be playing Cowboys, in The Spirit of the Game, not trying to find advantages from what isn’t mentioned in the rules! Some might call me a pot stirrer and a trouble maker, but that’s ok. Sometimes the pot needs to be stirred to keep the stew from getting ruined. I hope that those of you who read this will do it with an open mind, and support me in saving SASS from the few who have hijacked it. I’m not looking for credit or gratification, just to keep SASS what they say it is: The closest you’ll get to the Old West short of a time machine. Bisley Joe
